Press Brake Operator

Job Title:      Press Brake Operator – Class 3

Reports to:       Production Manager

FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt

Department:     Production

Shift: 1st

Job Description –Set up and operate CNC Press Brake machine.

Duties:

  1. Basic Set up and operation of CNC Press Brake using programs, tooling and machine parameters.
  2. Basic operation of CNC Press Brake controller.
  3. Basic operation of CAM software on controller.
  4. Set and perform “First Piece Article” inspections and document part dimensions per engineering drawings and specifications.
  5. Input time, material, quantity produced into ERP software.
  6. Understanding of Company quality program.
  7. Basic material bending properties as they relate to forming and/or bending of parts.
  8. Basic tooling selection required for proper bending techniques to meet specifications.
  9. Maintain and clean tool inventory.
  10. Perform and document routine maintenance on machine as directed.
  11. Keep machine and work area clean, neat and orderly.
  12. Runs secondary operations on other machines when required or time allows.
  13. De- tab and de-burr parts with grinders and sander.
  14. Reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
  15. Wear safety equipment and follow all safety rules and procedures as required and directed.
  16. Other duties maybe required as assigned.
  17. Maintain lift truck operators license.

Skills:

 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to use and care for precision measuring equipment and tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other tools and gauges
  • Knowledge of both metric and inch measuring systems.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and geometry.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing ERP software, Windows software and CNC software and NC code.
  • Operate a lift truck (license).

 

Education/Training:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Laser Operator

Position Summary

Job Title:      Laser Operator – Class 2

Reports to:       Production Manager

FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt

Department:     Production

Shift: 1st and 2nd

Job Overview –  Sets up and operates CNC Laser Cutting Machine, load material, cut, inspect & document parts, de-burr, skid or box and deliver to next operation.

Duties:

  • Set up and operation of CNC machine and basic machine parameters.
  • Use CAM nesting, ToPs and other software on machine.
  • Perform “First Piece Article” inspections and document part dimensions per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Input time, material, quantity produced into ERP software.
  • Understanding of Company quality program.
  • Material identification to facilitate selecting and transport from storage to machine, properly identify left over raw material for return to inventory location and proper disposal of scrap..
  • Perform and document routine maintenance on machine as directed.
  • Keep machine and work area clean, neat and orderly.
  • Runs secondary operations on other machines when required or time allows.
  • De- tab and de-burr parts with grinders and sander.
  • Reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
  • Wear safety equipment and follow all safety rules and procedures as required and directed.
  • Other duties maybe required as assigned.

Outside Sales Representative

Job Title:      Outside Sales Representative

Career Level Required: Experienced (Non-Manager)

Experience Required: 2+ to 5 Years

Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree

Job Description:

Ohio Laser is seeking two Outside Sales Representatives who can increase sales and profitability through development of new customers and further expand existing customers to increase market penetration on a national level. Focus areas include Eastern and Western Ohio. Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prospecting for new customers via phone, internet, mail and visits regionally and nationally
  • Follow-up on all new leads that are generated via internet, phone, trade show or other marketing methods
  • Effective written, verbal and negotiating skills
  • Prepare estimates for monthly and annual goals within required deadlines
  • Set annual sales goals for both customers and potential customers
  • Thorough understanding of Ohio Laser LLC procedures for manufacturing, quality, delivery and credit status
  • Attend all required sales and marketing functions
  • All actions and decisions must adhere to Ohio Laser LLC ethics and financial fiscal welfare
  • Be courteous, open minded, enthusiastic and positive in all relations
  • Able to complete miscellaneous management assignments and projects

Education and other Requirements:

Ohio Laser will require our new Outside Sales Representatives to use their professional appearance and excellent communication skills to the utmost advantage to create long term relationships with clients. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a technical Outside Sales Representative position
  • Must be self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Proven ability to negotiate deals and close the sale
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Able to build and maintain long lasting relationships with customers
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM, ERP, Microsoft Office suite and other advanced software
  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a plus
