Press Brake Operator

Job Title:      Press Brake Operator – Class 3

Reports to:       Production Manager

FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt

Department:     Production

Shift: 1st

Job Description –Set up and operate CNC Press Brake machine.

Duties:

  1. Basic Set up and operation of CNC Press Brake using programs, tooling and machine parameters.
  2. Basic operation of CNC Press Brake controller.
  3. Basic operation of CAM software on controller.
  4. Set and perform “First Piece Article” inspections and document part dimensions per engineering drawings and specifications.
  5. Input time, material, quantity produced into ERP software.
  6. Understanding of Company quality program.
  7. Basic material bending properties as they relate to forming and/or bending of parts.
  8. Basic tooling selection required for proper bending techniques to meet specifications.
  9. Maintain and clean tool inventory.
  10. Perform and document routine maintenance on machine as directed.
  11. Keep machine and work area clean, neat and orderly.
  12. Runs secondary operations on other machines when required or time allows.
  13. De- tab and de-burr parts with grinders and sander.
  14. Reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
  15. Wear safety equipment and follow all safety rules and procedures as required and directed.
  16. Other duties maybe required as assigned.
  17. Maintain lift truck operators license.

Skills:

 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to use and care for precision measuring equipment and tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other tools and gauges
  • Knowledge of both metric and inch measuring systems.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and geometry.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing ERP software, Windows software and CNC software and NC code.
  • Operate a lift truck (license).

Laser Operator

Position Summary

Job Title:      Laser Operator – Class 2

Reports to:       Production Manager

FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt

Department:     Production

Shift: 1st and 2nd

Job Overview –  Sets up and operates CNC Laser Cutting Machine, load material, cut, inspect & document parts, de-burr, skid or box and deliver to next operation.

Duties:

  • Set up and operation of CNC machine and basic machine parameters.
  • Use CAM nesting, ToPs and other software on machine.
  • Perform “First Piece Article” inspections and document part dimensions per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Input time, material, quantity produced into ERP software.
  • Understanding of Company quality program.
  • Material identification to facilitate selecting and transport from storage to machine, properly identify left over raw material for return to inventory location and proper disposal of scrap..
  • Perform and document routine maintenance on machine as directed.
  • Keep machine and work area clean, neat and orderly.
  • Runs secondary operations on other machines when required or time allows.
  • De- tab and de-burr parts with grinders and sander.
  • Reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
  • Wear safety equipment and follow all safety rules and procedures as required and directed.
  • Other duties maybe required as assigned.

Metal Fab Shop Laborer - Class 1

Job Title: Metal Fab Shop Laborer – Class 1

Reports to: Production Supervisor or Shift Team Lead

Direct Reports: None

Job Description:

Loads and unloads varius machines and manual operations as required though out the shop, de-tab and de-burr, skid or box and deliver to next operation.  Performs routine cleaning of shop floor, removal of cobwebs and routine change of machine filters.

Duties:

  • Feeds metal parts or stock into automatic metalworking machines and removes machined parts at the end of cycle.
  • Loads and unloads materials, parts or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors or trucks and delivers to designated work areas.
  • Understanding of Company quality program.
  • Perform and document routine maintenance on machine as directed.
  • Keep machine and work area clean, neat and orderly.
  • Runs secondary operations on other machines when required or time allows.
  • De-tab and de-burr parts with grinders and sander.
  • Perform and document routine cleaning of shop floor as directed.
  • Reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
  • Wear safety equipment and follow all safety rules and procedures as required and directed.

Skills:

Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Class 2

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk – Class 2

  • Enter or log time to Work Order.
  • Receive products and materials from vendors, ships products and parts to customers, inspect, package skid products and log time to work order, help deliver materials to lasers, help with miscellaneous de-burring, laser helper and other jobs.

Skills and Duties:

  • Basic computer skills—Windows operating system and specific programs for processing shipping documents
  • Understanding of ERP software for order entry, shipping, receiving manifest and inventory control.
  • Follow work order instruction to complete part processing operation with part counts.
  • Maintain lift truck operators license.
  • Understanding of Ohio Laser LLC quality program.
  • Follow instructions on work orders for specific packaging and shipment instructions.
  • Call transportation companies to arrange for delivery and pickup of products.
  • Material identification ability to facilitate selecting and transport from materials and parts to and from equipment/operations.
  • Understanding of types of materials and specifications
  • Perform inspections and document as forms and work orders require.
  • Properly use and care for precision tools necessary to inspect and document the qualifications of the processed parts to their specifications. Tools include micrometers, calipers, pin gages, precision gage blocks, protractor, granite plate, feeler gages, and height gage.
  • Perform and document routine maintenance on machines in your area.
  • Clean all areas that you work in daily
  • De- tab and de-burr parts with grinders and sander.
  • Any other assigned tasks.
  • Keep machine and work area clean, neat and orderly.
  • Wear safety equipment and follow all safety rules.
  • Follow Ohio Laser LLC rules as stipulated in the employee manual.
