TIG Welding Overview
TIG welding is often used to weld thin sections of steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, aerospace alloys, and copper alloys. The process allows for greater operator control over the weld than other processes such as shielded metal arc welding and gas metal arc welding. This grants stronger, higher quality welds.
Types of weld joints include:
- Butt Joint Welding
- Lap Joint Welding
- Edge Joint Welding
- T-Joint Welding
- Corner Joint Welding
Our TIG welding shop’s world-class technicians are adapted to provide unique welding solutions to meet the needs of each customer. We maintain a 70,000 square feet of office, design engineering, manufacturing, fabrication and distribution space in one strategic central location.
TIG welding benefits include:
- Superior Quality Weld Beads
- Long-term Cost Effectiveness
- Inherent Corrosion Resistance
- Welds Can be Made with or without Filler Metal
- Precise Control of Welding Variables
- Clean Weld Areas, Free of Spatter
- Lower Heat Affected Zone and Metal Distortion
